Northern Lights over the lake on Friday night.

I missed my chance to take picts of the best part of the show because I was too busy grabbing my gear. By the time I was back outside, the lights had become very fuzzy and faint.

The pictures we done at 400ISO with exposure ranging from 15 to 25 seconds @ f4.

The lake looks smooth because of the long exposures, but it was windy, as you can see in the blurred trees on the right.

You can see the Big Dipper on the upper left of some pictures and you can guess that Cassiopeia is on the upper right.

The lake and the rocks on the lake are lit up by the almost full Moon that was rising behind the trees on the right far outside of the camera’s field of view.

The Northern Lights season is only beginning, I will get lots of other occasions to take pictures.

I took this quick panorama while working on my roof. (Quick as in “Shit I’m going to loose balance, slip and kill myself!”)

A very nice fountain not far from the hotel.

The second picture is from my girlfriend pretending to take a wide view of the fountain, but in reality keeping a souvenir of my awesome butt. (more of that to come)

A sculpture on a public beach.

The guy on the upper left reminds me of The Goon with his little hat on.

A panorama from the boardwalk along Lake Okanagan.

Our hotel viewed from the boardwalk.

The view from our hotel room balcony.

I know the picture cannot show it, but the Okanagan lake is HUGE.

Some snow left in the mountains on the left side but the temperature at lake level is quite nice.

Also, I have never seen such a dog friendly city, they are everywhere.

Moar to come when I get the time.

Various snippets of the Vancouver to Kelowna flight.

I found it neat that the camera shutter and the propeller were nearly in sync during cruise.

Sorry about the sideways filming at the end.

My hand was freezing after the fourth take.
